Walking therapy is offered along the Quarry Trail in Rockaway Beach.

Walking Therapy is a therapeutic approach that has many benefits.

I offer therapy outside along the Quarry Trail in the serene surroundings of Rockaway Beach, where my office is located.

Walking therapy offers a unique blend of physical and mental well-being benefits, with the gentle release of endorphins and activating optimal brain functioning through bilateral stimulation.

The physical release of feel-good hormones, combined with talk therapy, enhances the overall therapeutic experience and helps reduce stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol.

Walking side by side rather than sitting in a traditional therapy setting of an office can reduce the pressure of maintaining eye contact and feel like a freer way to express oneself.

In this nature-based approach, I incorporate Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness techniques and use of metaphor.

This holistic approach aims to foster and honor the profound connection between our minds and bodies.
